So after a couple of months fixing up our house it went on the market, 6 weeks later it sold, 5 weeks after that we moved out! whilst exciting it was also sad, this was our first home, where we got engaged, where we brought our children home to from the hospital, many an occasion was celebrated in that home over the 6 years we lived there,many memories made....I hope the new owners have many happy memories there too.
The 3 acres we are buying belong to my parents, it's a vacant bush block - no electricity, no water, no sewer. My brother owns the block in front of us (he does have a house, electricity, water and a septic!), and will live back there eventually ( he lives interstate), my uncle owns the block next door - it's vacant though as he lives interstate too. These blocks of land were originally owned by my great grandparents and are where my dad grew up. I grew up about five minutes down the road, and it is my childhood home that we are living in whilst we build our dream.
Our little block is in a great spot, only 15 minutes from town, it's right near the freeway and only 25minutes till your off the end of the freeway in Sydney. The kids love the space and we're excited about chickens and vege gardens and backyard cricket without worrying about breaking the neighbours windows!
